She is a student who believes that life is full of sacrifices and challenges, but these will not hinder one’s desire to reach one's goals and aspirations. Her college days were filled with ups and downs because of financial and family problems. But, as they say, every cloud has a silver lining, and the Chain of Hope Korea Foundation, along with Dr. Yoon and Dr. Park, was the silver lining in Roselle’s life. They are the one who gave her hope to realize her aspirations. She became an academic scholar while working part-time in order to sustain the needs of her siblings. The struggles and difficulties she endured did not dishearten her since she knew there were those who would always support her and believe in her.

Many people doubted her ability when she decided to apply for the Bureau of Fire Protection since she appears sickly and has little stamina. Many of them questioned if she had what it takes to be a firefighter. However, these reservations did not deter her from pursuing her heart’s desire to give herself and her family a better life. With perseverance and trust in God, her hopes had finally come true. She is now a proud member of the Bureau of Fire Protection, whose mission statement is "We serve, so that others may live." Her hopes of a better life for herself and her family are now within grasp. She is one of the proofs of the Chain of Hope Korea Foundation’s vision of creating hope for others.

In her own words, she expressed, “I am extremely proud that I am a product of the Chain of Hope Korea Foundation. To all my fellow CHK scholars please do your best at all times. Always put forth your best effort in your studies because you will undoubtedly reap the benefits of your labor and enjoy the delicious taste of success one day.”
